The Basenji-less household

What I miss most is the yodeling and the wagging.

All my Basenjis have wagged, greeting, especially. When you walk in the door. Going for a ride in the car, going for a walk, charming strangers...etc.... The ears go back, the eyes gleam, the little honeybun tail waggles from side to side. (No, it doesn't uncurl unless the tail's a lazy curl to begin with). One feels quite honored.

Whenever we see a dog, my children ask "Is that a basenji? Is that what one looks like?"
